One Year (12/12/24)

This site finally hit its one year anniversary 11 days ago.

I do really need to update it - I want ot overhaul it, but at the same time I feel like the site is perfect. Like I look at other sites and wonder "is mine good enough?" but I always end up never changing everything because "i'm right where I want to be". Maybe that's a healthy enough mindset for me. I've been eternally focused on trying to progress my own life and starting new things meanwhile progressing what I already know.

My metalheart studies are going fine. I've made a bunch of works and have posted them on my bluesky, but the gallery on the website is done really poorly (was done in like an hour of time) so I need to fix that so I can keep posting works on there too. I learned a few things including increasing the resolution of the picture so trying to cram in multiple 8000 x 6000 px works on my site would probably blow it up (and take forever to load lol).

I'm collabing with one of my main inspirations for metalheart, actually. We're making a piece called "over heaven", a collab of my metalheart form with their ethereal style. I'll post it here when it's done because I'm really proud of that.

Meanwhile I've been learning how to drive and just progressing my life. Living a bum life only gets so fun after a while. I want to update the site more, though. I know I said that earlier but I genuinely want to. It'll be alright. Maybe I start focusing on that again for the new year, because honestly this site means a lot to me. It's a culmination of everything that will stay long after I'm gone. Here's to another forever on this site, honestly.

Other things I want to talk about are anything I've been playing. I got addicted to Pokemon Pocket TCG so I've continuously grinded that and just had a lot of fun. I still play ROBLOX. I should make a shrine for that since that's still one of my favorite things ever.

Lastly I'm glad for everyone who has followed me in the past year. Neocities has gone through some weird stuff lately. Federifederie and the entire AI thing has been scaring a lot of people away. But I like this place because it's social. Nekoweb doesn't have that, as much as I think it's a really viable competitor (and I even have a copy of my own site on there). It truly means a lot that over 200 people genuinely follow me to see my site updates and is interested in what I'm doing. Maybe I can keep going. I've just been aging and thinking of what to do recently.

Last thing to say is that on the side is one of my new works - dream of water. This is one of my favorite pieces of all time. I think I'm making exactly what I want to make.
